I am an experienced Counsellor, UKCP Accredited Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor based in Christchurch, Dorset, not far from Bournemouth, Lymington and The New Forest.
I believe in working collaboratively and offer an empathic, supportive, thoughtful and confidential therapeutic relationship in order to explore, express and gain understanding of the feelings and thoughts that are causing you distress.
Often the current difficulties we are experiencing in our lives have developed as a result of our early history and past experiences. We often find ourselves repeating old familiar patterns perhaps hoping for a different outcome.
These patterns have been created from a need to protect ourselves and survive often painful and difficult experiences and feelings. Perhaps one particular event has overwhelmed and we find we can no longer cope. Or perhaps we have been coping alone for too long.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals (over 18). I also offer clinical supervisions to both counsellors and psychotherapists, on both an individual and group basis.
