Frequently Asked Questions?
How often and how long are the sessions?
Sessions are usually on the same day each week and last 50 minutes.
How much does it cost?
I charge £45 per session which is payable at each session by cash, cheque or card (£1 surcharge applies).
Counselling or Psychotherapy?
Counselling tends to be shorter term and relate to a specific problem. Psychotherapy deals with deeper, often historical issues and is usually longer term.
Counsellors and psychotherapists have different backgrounds and training which is important, however, research shows that the most important factor is the quality of the relationship between the Client and the Therapist.
What is the next step?
You can contact me by phone or email to find out more or to arrange an initial exploratory session. (Please mention which practice: Christchurch or Winchester).
This first session is for us to meet each other, to explore your current difficulties and see whether I can offer you the support that you need. If this feels comfortable for you, then we can make arrangements for further sessions or you can think further, you are under no obligation to proceed.
I look forward to hearing from you.
